"The author has nailed it. The all too dark side of our legal industry, and the type of character we're all too afraid to admit exists!" The Dirty Lowdown
The Corridor Man series is written by Mike Faricy and was originally released under the pseudonym Nick James.
Corridor Man Valentine eBook Mike Faricy
Mr Faricy gives a long preview of Corridor Man at the end of his first Dev Haskell book, Russian Roulette. He also gives a shorter preview of Dev Haskell #2, Mr Swirlee. Having enjoyed Russian Roulette, I opted to purchase Mr Swirlee. I then read the extended preview of Corridor Man, and was hooked. I was pleased to find the price was $.99. So I purchased it to finish the story, thinking that perhaps it would be another series to add to my reading list. It is a bit darker than the Dev Haskell stories; but the author does note this. Partway through the book, I determined that although this is a a good book, it is a bit heavy for my taste, and I probably wouldn't continue the series once I finished this book. Imagine my dismay when I discovered a "cliffhanger"; Corridor Man is not a complete book to start a series, it is a portion (albeit a long one) of a whole.I also read romance/erotica novels, and I have stopped reading any that do not finish a story in one book. After FSOG, I have determined that there is no good reason for an author to present a story in serial form, other than to line their pockets. I do like series of books featuring the same or connected characters; it gives me the option of reading on about what is happening further in their "lives" or not, if I I chose to read only one book. I am sorely disappointed that Mr. Faricy has chosen this route of the cliffhanger. If in the description of Corridor Man there was an indication that it was a two part book, my decision to purchase may have changed. If in that description the author would explain that the story was too long for one book, I might have had a little more understanding, and made a decision to purchase both. If both books were offered as a bundle, due to the length... I could go on. Suffice it to say I am not purchasing Corridor Man 2: Opportunity Knocks. I can live without finding out what happens to Bobby Custer.

Corridor Man Valentine eBook Mike Faricy Reviews
Love the new character Bobby Custer, a disbarred attorney with nothing to lose. He gets time shaved off his sentence and is jettisoned into a world that he doesn't quite get. Enter "Prez", at times a little threatening but also Bobby's only friend. Prez is one of my all-time fictional characters. Everyone has known a Prez, but I haven't seen the type so well developed.
This is a slight departure from the Dev Haskell books. I like the Bobby character more, but that could be just that Corridor Man is written in third person, which I tend to prefer to first person fiction. Anyway, this is a must read. Like Haskell, it is set in St. Paul, but local knowledge is not necessary to enjoy this book. Looking to start the second volume.
I got this book for FREE from a website and I am SO TIRED of having this on my UNreviewed page on . They clog my page getting in the way of other orders I HAVE used. I have tried to archive my book orders, yet these free books to review still remain.
I have kids, a husband, a dog, two cars, a garden, own a house and so have NOT read this book yet. Just as soon as I have FREE time and no laundry, dishes, carpools, rituals, routines, traditions, cuddle time, qualiy time, family dinners, etc. to take care of, I will certainly be sure to read all these books deserving of my attention.
I have read these kinds of products in the past and find them easy to digest. Encapsulated in digital form to allow your brains quick digestion and absorption. I have experienced no negative side effects but for the ones mentiond above and highly recommend you read this book if YOU have the time. Let me know what YOU think and I can post it HERE!

Bobby Custer is in prison. He, in his words, had a "minor dalliance with a trust fund." He has lost his job, his license to practice law, his wife, his reputation, and his freedom. He has served four years of a seven year sentence when two FBI agents visit him in jail. They offer him a get-out-of-jail-free card under certain conditions and they demand an answer immediately. Bobby thinks of three more years and answers yes. He is transferred to a halfway house that very night, where he is to spend the next sixty day learning how to reintegrate into society. Then he is instructed to apply for an entry level job at the law firm of Denton, Allan, Sawyer, & Hinz, where he will be hired. He will be required to report back to the two agents. All goes as planned and Bobby is hired to drive witnesses to depositions and back home.
Bobby seems like a sympathetic character, at first, though he is a little free and loose on petty crime. But he is trying to make a new start and we should cut him a little slack, right? Uh, no. It seems, if you give Bobby an inch, he takes a mile. And he's always thinking, thinking about Bobby, that is. How he can turn everything to his advantage. And turn things he does. It's like watching a trainwreck! You can't turn the pages fast enough. It's an insanely fascinating story. That's the good stuff. The bad stuff is it ends in a cliff hanger. This didn't bother me too much because book two is free on Unlimited and I have Unlimited. You have to decide how you feel about it.
I loved the book and have already borrowed the second book. It's an exciting, entertaining story. I highly recommend it but it's up to you. And it's not just two books, I think it's four. You think about it. I'm going to be reading.
This would have been a great book except the author spoiled it by leaving me hanging at the end. It is a shameless attempt to get me to purchase book 2 in the series and I will not. This isnt a stand alone story.
